The Parker Duofold Senior was first introduced in 1925 as part of the first Duofold range. The first models were made from Red Hard Rubber, these later ones were made from Permanite, Parkers name for Celluloid.
The colours on this model are still strong and the imprint on the barrel is clear and crisp. There are some minor marks and scratches to the cap and barrel with one deep gouge which has been filled and repaired. The gold plating is showing signs of wear. The pen is totally original and has been fully serviced.
The nib is a lovely medium which writes very smoothly. These are lovely pens and quite scarce in good condition.
We are very lucky here at Vintage Fountain Pens Ltd as we are able to continue to run the business from home. However we are taking every precaution to ensure that we all remain safe, all envelopes are new and come from sealed packaging, all pens and accessories are kept in sealed cupboards until required and all work areas are disinfected on a daily basis. We are still taking in repairs and, as long as the Post Office is open, we are able to turn them round very quickly. Let us hope that we get on top of this virus very quickly and we can all get back to normal. Thank you for your continued support.
