This is an excellent example of the famous Watermans Ideal finished in the relatively rare Mahogany with gold filled trim to the cap ring, clip and lever box. It was made in the USA around 1935.
The colours are still bright and vibrant and the inscription is deep and clear. Overall the pen is in excellent condition with some minor brassing to the plated areas and light marks and scratches commensurate with use.
It has been fully restored and now works perfectly. It is a lever filler and is fitted with a lovely Medium Semi flex nib with the keyhole pierce hole.
