This is a very nice example of the Parker Challenger, the last of the brass button fillers. It was made in the UK and is date coded for 1940.
The pen is in very good condition throughout with only minor marks and scratches commensurate with light use. The gold plating to the clip and cap rings is in good condition with only very minor wear at the extremities.
The imprint on the barrel is worn but still legible.
The pen uses the reliable button filling mechanism, the pen has been fully serviced and a new sac has been fitted. The pen is in full working order.
The 14ct gold nib is a lovely Fine with a light flex to it, it is original to the pen and is in excellent condition. It writes very nicely.
