Delta were established in Italy in 1982, and in the early years the company's resources were devoted to producing writing instruments with precious metals and celluloid to emulate popular pen models from the '20s and '30s.
Delta reintroduced the lever-filling systems at a time when others were using converters, cartridges and twist-filling systems. The lateral lever-filling system is a very efficient system, which doesn't require the barrel of the pen or the barrel's blind cap to be unscrewed to charge the pen with ink.
The Dolce Vita range was introduced around the turn of the century and the pen has been tremendously successful. The dark orange resin used in its manufacture looks fantastic and the silver trim sets it off perfectly.
The Dolce Vita collection was available in 6 different sizes and a range of different nibs. The filling mechanism is by a standard International size converter. (Included)
This is the Dolce Vita Medio (Medium) model fitted with a fine 14ct nib. The nib is actually marked Medium but the write sample will show you it is writing as a Fine.
This is a very prestigious pen in lovely condition. It is supplied in its original box.
We are very lucky here at Vintage Fountain Pens Ltd as we are able to continue to run the business from home. However we are taking every precaution to ensure that we all remain safe, all envelopes are new and come from sealed packaging, all pens and accessories are kept in sealed cupboards until required and all work areas are disinfected on a daily basis. We are still taking in repairs and, as long as the Post Office is open, we are able to turn them round very quickly. Let us hope that we get on top of this virus very quickly and we can all get back to normal. Thank you for your continued support.
