This is a good example of an early Swan Self Filling Fountain Pen, this is the SF250C which was made in the UK and dates from around 1930.
The pen is made from Red hard rubber in the desirable Woodgrain pattern and it has retained its original colour with no fading or darkening. It is fitted with two solid 9ct gold barrel rings, both hallmarked.
The imprint on the barrel is deep and clear and the pen is in excellent condition throughout apart from some plating wear to the clip.
The No.2 Fine nib writes smoothly and has a lovely flex to it.
The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write.
