This is a good example of the Duro Point Propelling Pencil No.2R which was produced around 1935. It is finished in Burgundy Marble.

The imprint is clear and legible and the pencil is in very good overall condition with only minor wear marks. The mechanism works fine and the plating to the clip is still in good order. The barrel is imprinted with the word 'dummy' normally used on demonstration or display models but this one is fully functioning so that is a bit of a mystery!!
