This is an excellent example of the beautiful CP4 "Richmond" Fountain pen made in a collaboration between Sheaffer and Classic Pens Ltd headed by the famous author Andreas Lambrou. It was released in 1997 and commemorated the American Civil War, there were two pens in the collection, the Richmond representing the capital of the Confederates and the Washington, representing the Union.
This pen is the Richmond and is number 312 of only 1865 pens made, it is in fantastic condition throughout with only very minor marks. It is fitted with a superb Broad Italic 18ct gold nib. It uses the famous Sheaffer Touchdown filling system for filling with ink from a bottle although this can be removed so that standard cartridges or a converter can be used.
This wonderful pen is supplied in a Sheaffer box but it is not the original.
