Esterbrook enjoyed an excellent reputation as a manufacturer of well made economical Fountain Pens. Their use of thick plastics for the barrels and Stainless Steel for their Clips and Nibs meant that the pens were extremely robust. Even now, 60 years later it is rare to find an "Estie" with any corrosion problems.
The Relief models were made for Esterbrook in the UK by Conway Stewart and they are of a similar high quality. This is the No.12, a lever filler, other Relief pens had button fillers and there were also eye droppers available.
The pen is made from Black Hard Rubber. The nib is delightful, it is a Broad Italic which writes beautifully.
It is in overall very good condition with no deep scratches or marks. The plating to the clip and lever box is in good condition with only minor wear to the extremities. It has been fully serviced and is ready to go.
