This is a superb example of this large early Swan Self Filling Fountain Pen, this is the 1000/60 which was made in the UK and dates from around 1930.
This prestigious pen is made from Black hard rubber with a chevron chased pattern to the barrel which is quite worn. The imprint on the barrel end shows "1000/60" and the cap is imprinted SF2 (Self Filler with a No.2 nib). Apart from the wear, the pen is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is a deep gold fillled cap ring which is showing a little wear at the edges.
The No.2 Fine Flex nib writes smoothly and gives a lovely shape to your writing. The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write.
We are very lucky here at Vintage Fountain Pens Ltd as we are able to continue to run the business from home. However we are taking every precaution to ensure that we all remain safe, all envelopes are new and come from sealed packaging, all pens and accessories are kept in sealed cupboards until required and all work areas are disinfected on a daily basis. We are still taking in repairs and, as long as the Post Office is open, we are able to turn them round very quickly. Let us hope that we get on top of this virus very quickly and we can all get back to normal. Thank you for your continued support.
