This a very large and beautiful fountain pen from the renowned Californian company Danitrio. Danitrio comissioned these pens around 1997. They are handmade "Maki-e" finished in Red Urushi Lacquer. It is fitted with a 14ct Medium Flex Nib. This pen is made using red ebonite as base, then hand applied with red urushi lacquer multiple times and burnished repeatedly. The section is signed by the original Japanese artist.
The pen is supplied with a converter and standard international cartridges can also be used. It can also be used a s a traditional Japanese style eyedropper filler. The converter and Eye Dropper are supplied in the box.
This hugely prestigious pen is in fabulous condition and has seen very little use. It is supplied in its original box.
We are very lucky here at Vintage Fountain Pens Ltd as we are able to continue to run the business from home. However we are taking every precaution to ensure that we all remain safe, all envelopes are new and come from sealed packaging, all pens and accessories are kept in sealed cupboards until required and all work areas are disinfected on a daily basis. We are still taking in repairs and, as long as the Post Office is open, we are able to turn them round very quickly. Let us hope that we get on top of this virus very quickly and we can all get back to normal. Thank you for your continued support.
