Itoya is a world famous Pen Shop in Tokyo, Japan. They have a fabulous reputation for providing some of the worlds finest writing instruments. But Itoya is more than just a shop. Itoya, founded in 1904, started producing its own pens in 1914 under brand names Mighty and Romeo. The Romeo brand is the most prestigious and the Romeo Dragon is one of three that were available around 7 or 8 years ago. The other two pens are the Romeo Snake and the Romeo Trout. These are very expensive pens, painted by hand in Maki-e and each is signed by the craftsman Masayuki.
The pen is a contemporary Cartridge / Converter filler using international sized cartridges or the Converter supplied. The 14k gold nib is a medium, apparently that is the only nib available for them.
This is a stunning pen, perfect in every detail. It is unninked and unused, I have not doen a write sample to preserve its originality. Please closely examine the photographs to help you appreciate the exquisite craftsmanship that has gone into this pen.
It is supplied in a box but it is not the original..
This is a hugely prestigious pen in fabulous condition.
We are very lucky here at Vintage Fountain Pens Ltd as we are able to continue to run the business from home. However we are taking every precaution to ensure that we all remain safe, all envelopes are new and come from sealed packaging, all pens and accessories are kept in sealed cupboards until required and all work areas are disinfected on a daily basis. We are still taking in repairs and, as long as the Post Office is open, we are able to turn them round very quickly. Let us hope that we get on top of this virus very quickly and we can all get back to normal. Thank you for your continued support.
