Description;

The Duofold Maxima was first introduced in 1958 at Parkers Newhaven Factory. It sits at the top of the tree as Parkers flagship Duofold. It is a wonderful writing instrument with a great deal of presence. It was a very sought after model but it came with a premium price tag and is therefore relatively rare.

This example dates from around 1960. It is in excellent condition and is finished in burgundy with gold filled trim to the clip and cap ring. There is no wear to the gold plate on the clip and cap ring and only very minor marks and light scratches on the cap and barrel. It writes with a beautiful smooth Medium line and it uses the fabulously reliable aerometric filling system. It is fully serviced and ready to write.

The nib is the huge No.50, the biggest nib fitted to any of the Duofolds of that era.
