The Parker Duofold Demi was first introduced in 1962 as part of the Duofold Aerometric range. The range consisted of the the Slimfold with the No.5 nib, the Junior with the larger No.10 nib, the standard Duofold and the Demi with the No.25 nib, the Senior with the No.35 nib and, finally, the prestigious Maxima, fitted with the huge No.50 nib. The range was produced right through to the 1970's and they were extremely popular because of their reliability and quality.
This particular pen is a Duofold Demi Fountain Pen and Pencil set dating from around 1965. The Demi is slightly shorter than the standard Duofold (by 5mm) but it retains the same diameter so is very well balanced. The set is finished in Green with gold filled trim to the clips and cap rings.
The pen is fitted with a super Fine nib which writes smoothly and is also fitted with the ultra reliable aerometric filler (for filling with ink from a bottle.) The set is in very good condition with only light marks. The imprints on the barrels are clear. They are supplied in their original box.
