This is an excellent example of the Parker Deluxe Challenger, the last of the brass button fillers. It was made in the USA and is date coded "47" indicating the final quarter of 1937.
The pen is in excellent condition throughout with only minor marks and scratches commensurate with light use. The gold plating to the clip and cap rings is in good condition with only very minor wear at the extremities.
The imprint on the barrel is deep, clear and legible.
The pen uses the reliable button filling mechanism, the pen has been fully serviced and a new sac has been fitted. The pen is in full working order.
The 14ct gold nib is a lovely smooth Medium, it is original to the pen and is in excellent condition. It writes very nicely.
