This is an excellent example of the rarer Watermans Ideal No.15 made from Black Hard Rubber. It was made in the USA around 1925 and is in fantastic condition with a deep imprint and crisp chasing. It has two solid 9ct gold bands on the barrel, both hallmarked. The top one reads "Presented to Rev J H Ridette by Haydock Congleton Mens Institute." The bottom band reads "May 29th 1921"
It has been fully restored and now works perfectly. It is a lever filler and is fitted with a wonderful Medium Italic Flex nib which gives a lovely shape to your handwriting.
