Description.

This is an excellent example of an early Blackbird Self Filling Fountain Pen, it was made in the UK and dates from around 1930.

The pen is made from Black hard rubber with a concentric line pattern. The Hard Rubber has faded slightly to a uniform dark brown. The imprint on the barrel is clear and legible and the pen is in good condition with marks and scratches commensurate with use.

The nib is a wonderful smooth Medium. It writes beautifully and has a lovely flex to it.

The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write.
