Description.

This is a good example of an early Swan Self Filling Fountain Pen, this is the SF1 which was made in the UK and dates from around 1930.

The pen is made from Red hard rubber in the desirable Woodgrain pattern and it has retained much of its original colour with slight darkening of the cap no fading or darkening.

The imprint on the barrel is clear and legible. A crack in the cap lip has been sealed and stabilised (see photo)

The No.1 Fine nib writes smoothly and has a lovely flex to it. The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write.

Condition: Grade B (because of the repaired cap lip)
