This pen is a really nice example of the No.84 and was produced around 1940. The cap and barrel are gold filled, a finish that is extremely rare and desirable. The pen is in good condition with only minor marks and scratches commensurate with use.
The imprints at the top of the cap and the top of the barrel are clear and legible, the gold plate is in excellent condition with only minor wear at the extremities.
The pen has a superb Medium Flexible Nib which writes very smoothly. It has been fully restored and is ready to write. The 84 is my favourite model from the Conway Stewart range and this gold filled version is very special.
