Description;

This is a mint example of the Stephens 106 Leverfil, Stephens were famous for their top quality inks using a formula developed by the founder, Henry Stephens, in the 1830's. In the mid 1930's they marketed a range of their own pens (possibly made by Conway Stewart) and they were very popular. The pens were conservative in design, mostly black hard rubber or chased black hard rubber, but they were very well made and quickly established a good reputation for quality and reliability.

The 106 appeared around 1936 and this one is in mint condition showing very little sign of use. It is finished made from Black Hard Rubber with a wavy line chased pattern. The plating to the clip, cap ring and lever box is immaculate.

The nib is a fine with a light flex and it writes really nicely. The pen is supplied in its original (tatty!) box complete with the original filling instrucdtions.

It has been fully serviced and is ready to go!!
