8264 Watermans Ideal No.0552 1/2V in Black Hard Rubber with a Gold Filled Overlay. Medium Flex FIVE STAR Nib.

Description;

This is an excellent example of the famous Watermans Ideal finished in Black Hard Rubber with a lovely filligree Gold Filled Overlay. It was made in the USA around 1925.

The overlay is in good condition and overall the pen is in good order with some very minor wear to the edges of the overlay. The cartouche is untouched and the hard rubber beneath the overlay is still dark with none of the usual fading.

It has been fully restored and now works perfectly. It is a lever filler and is fitted with a lovely Medium Flexible nib which writes with a smooth line.

This is a lovely little pen in excellent condition.
