Description;

This is a really nice example of the Sheaffer Balance dating from the mid 1940's. It is the Number 400 Balance with a 14ct Gold open nib that writes with a beautiful fine line.

The pen uses the relaibale Vac-fil system, a plunger system similar to the Onoto or later Touchdown models. The mechanism has been serviced and works perfectly.

Overall the pen is in very good condition with only light marks and scratches commensurate with age and use.
