3267 Watermans Patrician Fountain Pen in Turquoise c1930, Incredible condition. Fine Nib, mint and boxed.

Description:

This is an excellent example of the famous Watermans Patrician. It is finished in  the desirable Turquoise, a blue and bronze marble.

Normally these pens, which are near to their hundredth birthday, suffer from plating wear and discolouration. Not this one! I have never seen a Patrician in this sort of condition - ever! There is no discolouration at all and the plating looks like it was completed last week. You even have to look hard to find any wear marks at all.

This is as good an example you will find of this classic 'grail' pen. It was made in the USA around 1930 and was one of the most prestigious pens available at the time. Now it is acknowledged as a classic and it is still hugely desirable.

Everything about it is near perfect, the clip is tight, the lever box is straight and the imprint is deep and clear, even the metal Watermans Logo on the end of the barrel is in superb condition.

I have not fitted an ink sac to the pen to prevent any discolouration, it has been fully cleaned and serviced but I will leave it to the new owner to decide if he or she wants it saccing. The pen is fitted with a HUGE  firm Fine nib which is totally original to the pen.

Does it come with its original box I hear you saying! Yes of course it does and it is in the same condition as the pen - flawless.
