Description;

This is a lovely pen from Conklin. It is the Crescent Filling model made from Black Chased Hard Rubber. It is in overall very good condition with wear to the imprint and gold plated filler.

The Crescent Filler was unique to Conklin, it consists of a hard rubber ring with a slot in it attached to the barrel, rotating the ring allows the slot to line up with the crescent shaped press bar which is attached to a pressure bar within the barrel. You then depress the crescent which compresses the ink sac, then it is released, the sac fills and the ring is rotated back to its normal position which locks the crescent up. - simple but very effective!

The pen is fitted with a lovely 14ct gold Fine Flex nib and it has been fully serviced.
