Description.

This is an excellent example of an early Blackbird Self Filling Fountain Pen, it was made in the UK and dates from around 1930.

The pen is made from Black hard rubber with a light concentric line pattern. The Hard Rubber is in good condition with only minimal fading. The imprint on the barrel is clear and legible and the pen is in good condition with light marks and scratches commensurate with use. There are a couple of deeper marks on the cap.

Don't worry about the condition though, the nib is the important part! It is a wonderful smooth Medium, it writes beautifully and has a lovely flex to it.

The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write.
