Description;

This is a mint example of this hugely prestigious pen set from Montblanc. This is the Limited Edition "Edgar Allen Poe" triple set consisting of a Meisterstuck Fountain Pen, Ball Pen and matching Pencil. They form part of the Writers Edition which has been tremendously successful for Montblanc with most of the Limited Edition pens now changing hands for many times their original price.

They are made from precious resin in a Dark Blue Marble finish with gold filled trim. The set dates from 1998 and was made in Germany. All three items are part of a Limited Edition and their unique numbers are stamped on the caps, The Fountain Pen is No.281 of only 17,000 items, the Ball Pen is 281 of 15,000 and the Pencil is 281 of only 3,000. The Triple set as a whole with its unique packaging and box was limited to only 3000 units so the Pencil is only available with this set, it was not sold as an individual item.

The 18ct Medium nib fitted to the pen is also a limited edition, it depicts a Raven from Poe's famous poem and is dated 1998.

The set comes complete with its original box which is fashioned like a book. The outer cover is complete. Inside the box the International Warranty card is intact and there is also a booklet describing the life and works of Poe himself.

The set is in mint and unused condition, the pen has not been inked. The outer box has a couple of light marks on the corners where it has been opened but is completely intact.

This is a rare and valuable set in mint condition. it would make an excellent investment for the future. These pens will not go down in value!
