Description.

The Visofil range was first introduced by Mabie Todd in 1934, there were two distinctly different models.

The Visofil V was a plunger filling pen available in a wide range of colourful finishes, some had a visible ink window, all had a large ink capacity. In 1937 the Visofil VT was introduced in response to competition from the Parker Vacumatic. The VT used a more complicated filling system, and they are much more difficult to service than the original Visofil V. I am pleased to report that this particular pen, a Visofil V, has been fully serviced by the widely acknowledged Visofil expert, Dr Laurence Oldfield. The Visofils are excellent pens, the filling systems work very well, and they have a large ink capacity.

So, this pen is a Visofil V in the lovely Green Marble with gold filled trim to the decorated cap band. The imprint on the barrel is clear and legible and the pen is in excellent condition overall with only minor wear marks. The plating to the cap bands is in excellent order with no wear.

The original No.2 Broad nib with the heart shaped pierce hole, writes smoothly with a wonderful flex which gives a lovely shape to your writing. 

The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write.
