Description.

The Parker Rialto started life as the Parker 88 back in 1987. Its name was changed to the Rialto in 2004 for political reasons and production continued until 2007. It was one of Parkers most successful mid-range pens and it was available in many finishes.

The caps are backwards compatible with the 88 but the barrels and nib units are different, the earlier 88 had a metal thread, the Rialto has a slightly broader plastic thread. The Rialto is much less common than the 88 having only been in production for 3 years between 2004 and 2007. The top range Corinth pens in gold and silver plate and the marbled Laque finish are particularly hard to find now.

This is a Parker Rialto Fountain Pen and Rollerball set dating from around 2005. It is finished in the desirable Laque Dusk, a Bronze marble, with gold filled trim to the clip and rings.

The set is in near mint condition and is supplied in its original box.

The pen is fitted with a nice gold plated Broad nib.

Condition: Mint.
