Description.

The Parker 88 was first made in 1987 and production continued through to 2003 when the design was tweaked and its name was changed to Rialto. Production continued right through until 2003. It was one of Parkers most successful mid-range pens and it was available in many finishes.

The main difference between the 88 and the Rialto is that the 88 had metal threads on the nib unit and the Rialto used plastic threads. This means that the nib units and barrels are not interchangeable between the models, even though the pens look identical. The caps fit both models.

This is a Parker 88 Ball Pen dating from the mid 1990's. It is finished in Gloss Blue with gold filled trim.

The pen is in near mint condition with only the lightest of marks.

It uses standard Parker refills.
