Description;

Sheaffer produced a range of pens in the early 1980's called the "No Nonsense" based on the original 1930's lifetime model. They were an economical pen with a steel nib, but they were very popular and even today they are quite common. They also produced this 'upmarket' version of the No Nonsense - the Old Timer. The Old Timer has a Black Herringbone finish which is extremely attractive, and it has a gold-filled clip, cap ring and nib.

This example is in near mint condition and has seen very little use. It is a large pen measuring 162mm (nearly 7.5") when the cap is posted. It was made in the USA around 1985.

The pen is fitted with a lovely Broad nib which writes beautifully. It uses standard Sheaffer cartridges, or an optional converter is available.
