Description;

This is an excellent example of this rare and early Watermans Ideal No.414 POC eyedropper. This is one of the hard-to-find models in Black Hard Rubber with a sterling silver overlay in the Trefoil pattern. The 414 designates this as a size 1 model with a silver overlay and a sterling silver clip cap, those without a clip were designated 412. Those in plain black rubber were designated 12 or 14 with a clip - you get the idea! The POC means it is a Pocket model.

The pen is in excellent condition with only light marks and scratches commensurate with use. The cap lip is marked "Watermans Ideal fountain Pen".

The model number on the hard rubber at the end of the barrel is clear and is marked "414 POC".

There are no personalised engravings.

It has been fully restored and now works perfectly. It is an eyedropper and is fitted with an amazing Broad Manifild nib which writes beautifully.

This is a lovely rare pen in excellent condition. It is supplied in a Watermans box to protect it, but it is not the original.
