Description.

This is a lovely example of the hard-to-find Parker Vacumatic Oversize Pencil. This is part of the first generation of Parker Vacumatics and would have been paired up with the Vacumatic Oversize Fountain Pen with the Lockdown mechansim which were made between 1933 and 1937.

It is finished in the lovely Emerald Pearl with gold filled trim to the clip and triple cap rings. It was made in Canada for export to Europe so it would probably have been sold in the UK. It is in good condition with minor marks and scratches commensurate with its nearly 90 years of use!!

The Oversize Fountain Pen and corresponding pencil were the largest in the range. It is longer and has a bigger girth than the standard Vacumatic range. It was an expensive pencil in its time and is now very rare.
