Description;

This is a mint example of the Stephens 270 Leverfil, Stephens were famous for their top quality inks using a formula developed by the founder, Henry Stephens, in the 1830's. In the mid 1930's they marketed a range of their own pens (possibly made by Conway Stewart) and they were very popular. The pens were conservative in design, mostly black hard rubber or, latterly, chased celluloid, but they were very well made and quickly established a good reputation for quality and reliability.

The 270 appeared around 1939 and this one is in mint condition showing very little sign of use. It is finished made from Black Celluloid with a wavy line chased pattern. The plating to the clip, cap ring and lever box is immaculate.

The nib is a Medium with a light flex and it writes really nicely.

It has been fully serviced and is ready to go!!
