Description.

This is a wonderful Parker 51 Aerometric finished in Dark Burgundy with a 1/10 12ct Rolled Gold cap. Made in the UK, this is a very good example of this model which dates from around 1960. The 1/10 plating is twice as thick as the normal plating on Parker caps so it will last much longer.

The pen is fitted with the reliable aerometric filling mechanism which has been fully serviced. It is fitted with a lovely smooth Medium Oblique Italic nib and is in overall excellent condition with only very light wear marks and scratches commensurate with light use. The cap has no plating wear and is in very good condition with no dings. There is an inscription on the cap, "FARBWERKE HOECHST AG" so the pen may have been a presentation from that German company. The engraving is not too obtrusive (I missed it at first!) but it does devalue the pen somewhat. The wonderful nib makes up for this though!!!
