Description;

The Parker Duofold Junior was first introduced in 1923 as part of the first Duofold range. The first models were made from Red or Black Hard Rubber. The Mandarin Yellow, Jade Green and Lapis Lazuli pens were introduced in 1927 and were made from Permanite, Parkers name for Celluloid. The Mandarin Yellow is by the most desirable of these early pens.

This is a Duofold Junior Lucky Curve Fountain Pen in Mandarin Yellow. It was made around 1928 and is in fabulous condition.

The colour is clean, bright and consistent with no fading or darkening. The imprint is clear and legible. The gold plating to the clip and cap ring is in lovely condition with some very minor wear at the edges.

The pen has been fully serviced and is filling and writing exactly as it did nearly 100 years ago. It has been thoroughly cleaned and prepared. 

All parts of the pen are totally original, including the fabulous Fine side of Medium 14ct gold nib.

This is a wonderful pen, the condition is excellent. The nib is smooth and the gold plating is strong.
