Description;

The Jewel Pen Company was an early British manufacturer founded in London in 1884, beginning as agents for American pens before producing their own high-quality fountain pens from around 1903. The pens were durable and well made and in the early part of the last century Jewel competed with all the big names in the pen industry.

This is one of Jewels larger pens, the No.6 in black hard rubber with a chased pattern to the barrel and a smooth slip cap. The pen is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It was made around 1915 and fills with an eyedropper, an eyedropper will be supplied with the pen.

The 14ct nib is huge, nearly 40mm long, and it writes with a Fine line with a lovely flex to it. The pen itself measures 155mm long, about the same as a Watermans No.58 and it has a great deal of presence.

This is a rare and prestigious pen from a top English manufacturer, the nib is just amazing.
